County Cemeteries
Cemeteries are not only a tribute to a family's loved ones, they're a
glimpse to the roots of our past and in some way, give us a sense of
why we're here.
A trip through the cemeteries of Freeborn County will immediately show
the visitors the great diversity of people who settled and still live
in the area. From Bohemian settlers in the southern part of the county
to the Irish settlers in the north and the majority of Norwegian
settlers, the area has benefited from their strengths.
Visitors to the cemeteries of Freeborn County may not have any
connections with the people buried there, but these people may learn
much through that walk. It can be a walking history lesson in any
cemetery one walks through.
