Each Sunday between services, the members of Ascension Lutheran Church share a time of fellowship in Carlsen Hall. We share ideas and recent events in all of our lives with people of similar concerns and faith in God. Many warm and wonderful relationships are developed over a cup of coffee.
During the year, Ascension has numerous opportunities to partake in experiences with each other. Among these are pot-lucks, lutefisk dinner, aebleskiver dinner, weddings, funerals, FAMILY program suppers, the Parent's Program, Time and Talent Bazaar, the Gifted and Talented Celebration, spaghetti dinners, Bible studies, mission circles, Super Seniors of Ascension, Dartball, serving at St. John's Lutheran Home, Teens 4 Jesus, a shared Thanksgiving service with our good neighbors at the Methodist Church and others to numerous to mention.

An important part of our fellowship outreach program is our Mission Partner Congregation in Valley Station, Kentucky. We conduct several fund raisers during the year to strengthen God's mission and plans for the people in this part of the United States. As you can see, here at Ascension, we are one large family learning, growing in faith, and sharing good times together. We would love to have you join us as we proceed with God's guidance through another exciting year at Ascension.
